How do I access a file that is both hidden and "padlocked"
While attempting to copy my Microsoft Money file from my computer to my new laptop, I was unable to find the file while viewing in explorer. If I open Money and click "Open", the file shows up with a padlock on it (also the hidden folder "MNYCoreFiles.NEW.{9D6EAA4F-27B2-4407-AC72-4BBD2FCB6ED1}" is padlocked). If I go to the folder that contains the file in explorer, it is not there (nor is the previously mentioned hidden folder). I did manage to find both the file and the folder in the C:\User\{name}\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Microsoft Money Plus folder, but if I copy them to another folder they become padlocked. Any suggestions?

Hi, To remove the padlock icon, you can add “Users” group under the Security tab of the folder Properties. If you have not enough permission to modify the folder, please also add your current account to the “Group or user name” option under the Security tab. Thanks, Novak
